North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College has achieved high ratings amongst Midlands’ employers in a national satisfaction survey.
Eighty-nine per cent of the employers who work with the College to train apprentices and other staff said that they would recommend its services to other organisations. This tops the national average rating for all training providers of 86%.
The College’s results place it in first position out of 14 providers in the East Midlands, and in fourth place out of 24 in the West Midlands. The College has climbed 100 places in the rankings during the year since it was formed following a merger of federation partners, North Warwickshire & Hinckley College and South Leicestershire College.
The annual survey, conducted by the Education & Skills Funding Agency, measures the performance of all college and training providers throughout the UK.
Marion Plant OBE, Principal and Chief Executive, said: “We are continuously working to improve our service to employers and we are delighted that they have recognised our efforts with this endorsement.
“We work with some of the most significant employers in the region including the NHS Jungheinrich, Witherslack Group and Next. We want to equip these companies with the skills they need to compete as the UK economy consolidates its recovery.
“It is important to us that these organisations have the confidence to trust us with their training requirements. We do this by adapting to their ways of working and standards. Our team is very flexible and highly professional, and these results show that we are making great progress.
“I would like to thank our employer partners for responding to this survey and I am looking forward to continuing with our productive relationship in the future.”
The survey asked employers to rate their satisfaction with the professionalism of college staff, the flexibility of the training and the overall quality.
In addition to promoting engagement with the national survey, the College conducts regular audits of its own, checking employer satisfaction at each stage of their journey.
