The UK’s leading homewares retailer, Dunelm has partnered with South Leicestershire College to launch an exciting new apprenticeship scheme for people looking to enter the furnishing and textiles industry.
The apprenticeships are part of brand new programme based in the company’s in-house manufacturing centre in Leicester.
Successful apprentices will get the opportunity to learn on the job, earning up to £210 per week, and will work towards a Level 2 NVQ in Performance Manufacturing. They will gain practical work experience in making bespoke curtains, blinds and accessories helping customers achieve their unique interior design style. Each individual will progress to work in different areas of the manufacturing process including professional fabric cutting, machining and creating made to measure window treatment finishes such as pelmets, swags and tails plus much more.
Baz Patel, Recruitment Consultant at Dunelm, said: “Our Apprenticeship programme is a fantastic opportunity for someone to be an integral part of turning our customers’ interior design visions into a reality. We are looking for individuals who are great team players and have a keen eye for detail and a passion for fabrics and textiles. In turn, they can look forward to working in a great atmosphere, with excellent opportunities to develop their skills and to kick start their career with the sector.”
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 5 August.
