The college is now eligible to deliver Skills Academy Careship development programmes which will help improve social care provided to service users.
South Leicestershire College joins a select group of providers who through their training will help the National Skills Academy for Social Care achieve high quality care across the care sector.
Marion Plant OBE, Principal and Chief Executive of South Leicestershire College commented: “This is a great success for the college. It demonstrates our commitment and contribution to improving adult social care through the excellent training that we provide. Our new status will enable us to work more closely with service providers and help them maintain the higher quality of care advocated by the National Skills Academy.”
