MHSOP Environment Care Coordinators Enid Cassidy, Ward B1, Bassetlaw Hospital and Ali Moore,
Silver Birch Ward, Highbury Hospital have both successfully completed their Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Healthcare Support Services through South Leicestershire College.
From left: Ali Moore, Carol Cousins, Jeannette Lee, Enid Cassidy, Sharon Howe, and Adele Bailey
To gain the qualification, they had to complete the QCF Level 2 certificate in Healthcare Support Services, QCF Level 2 award in Employment and Personal Learning Skills for Health, as well as a Level 1 qualification in both English and Maths.
Enid and Ali were part of the first group of Environment Care Co-ordinators to complete the apprenticeship as a pilot scheme to improve the qualifications and skills of Co-ordinators within the Trust.
They both worked extremely hard to complete each component of their apprenticeship and are very deserving of the qualifications they have been awarded. Support was given from Adele Bailey, the Trainer Assessor in Health and Social Care at South Leicestershire College.
Enid was supported by Jeanette Lee, her Ward Manager and Ali was supported by Aaron Kibaja, Ward Manager, and Carol Cousins, Clinical Lead.
They were both supported by their Modern Matron Sharon Howe.
