Staff and students at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College are celebrating after receiving their best ever results for Counselling courses.
Students achieved 100% pass rates at level 2, 100% pass rates at level 3 and 99.8% pass rates at level 4.
The results follow a visit earlier on this year from the CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body).
Jayne Yeates, Counselling Lecturer at the College said: “We are so proud of these results which really are a reflection of the dedication and hard work put in by the students and staff members.”
Barry Kopp, an experienced Person-Centred counsellor and trainer, co-author of the book "Counselling Skills and Studies" and Senior Verifier at CPCAB said:
“Thank you to the College for the time given for my visit and for looking after me so generously. It was good to meet with the new curriculum manager who fully supports the counselling provision and is appreciative of the high standards of teaching and learning. Jayne is continuing to do a sterling job in managing the counselling programmes and embedding consistent standards across both sites.
“From the portfolios seen it is very clear that candidates are working and reflecting at a suitable depth for each qualification sought and that tutor assessment is consistent and robust. It was good to see some weaker portfolios that had not yet met the requirements and clear acknowledgement of this from the team. The depth of learning and engagement was echoed with the two candidate groups I met.
“Well done on another successful year and I look forward to witnessing your growing success in the following year.”
