South Leicestershire College and Oadby & Wigston Borough Council are hosting a free business event for local employers.
The event will take place on Thursday 21 April from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at South Leicestershire College’s South Wigston Campus.
As part of the event, local employers will have the opportunity to find out more about support and opportunities available to them.
Attending will be the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) who will discuss the Business Gateway and simplifying access to business support. Oadby and Wigston Borough Council will be launching their draft Economic Regeneration Strategy.
Councillor John Boyce, Leader of the Council said “The Council is delighted to be launching the consultation on its new draft Economic Regeneration Strategy for the borough at this event and is pleased to be working in partnership with South Leicestershire College and Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership to deliver this business occasion, which will provide valuable information to our local businesses.”
Debbie Scotton, Business Development Manager from South Leicestershire College will also be discussing Apprenticeships and how they can make a difference to local businesses.
Debbie said: “Apprenticeships are a great way to develop talent and fill your skills gaps, whether you are looking to employ new staff members or upskill current employees.
“This event is a fantastic opportunity to find out more about the benefits of Apprenticeships and network with organisations looking to find out more about the range of support and opportunities available.”
