Students and staff at South Leicestershire College have been getting their bake on in the name of charity.
A number of events were held at the end of September to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, together raising £379.50.
Activities were part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, the organisation’s largest fundraising event which sees people from across the UK host a coffee mornings to raise money for those facing cancer.
During the week a number of cake sales were held, one of which was ran by Entry Level 2 students, who sold home-made cakes as part of the national coffee morning.
Callum Marvin, Student Liaison and Enrichment Lead at the College said:
“It was great to see so many staff and students working together to raise money for this cause. I would especially like to thank those who donated and worked on this event - without their support the total raised would not have been achievable.”
