Students from South Leicestershire College took a trip to the ITV studios in Manchester as part of a recent residential trip.
Ten students studying the Level 3 Diploma in Media travelled up to Manchester on 19 May for a two day educational visit.
As part of the trip, students visited the Imperial War Museum, the National Media Museum and the ITV Studios where they took a tour of the Coronation Street set.
The students also visited Centre Screen studios where they had the chance to discover more about multimedia display and see where the Richard III exhibit and projection, currently on show in Leicester, was created.
Senior Producer Laura Harris gave the students a detailed talk on the work of Centre Screen and a behind the scenes look at the filming of the Richard III multimedia exhibit. Laura also gave tips on how to start a career in the industry.

Ann Richmond, Lecturer at the College said: “Whilst researching for places to visit I remembered seeing a short clip of the Richard III museum online and thought it might be worth contacting the company responsible for the amazing projections! This was a great opportunity for students to get a real taster of the industry.”
