NVQ hairdressing students from South Leicestershire College put on a show to remember this week.
Thirteen of them were given the tasks of creating three new hairtstyles, as well as clothing and make-up, for their chosen models for a special catwalk show at the site in South Wigston, on Tuesday evening.
Themes ranged from vintage and masquerade ball, to Alice in Wonderland to gothic horror and the 70s and 80s.
Course leader Debbie Smith said: "The task is a test of not only their creative abilities but their ability to organise an event of this scale and to budget. I was very impressed with how they brought it all together in the end and with some of the amazing themes they chose - there really was a fantastic spectrum on offer to wow us. It was frantic at times but I think the audience of staff and students really appreciated the effort that went into the show. I'm really proud of each of them and I think they have all learned a lot from putting it on. It was particularly pleasing as other students from college were able to get involved, from Media students who helped promote it to Construction students who created some of the props. Everyone involved is to be congratulated."
