We offer a number of internationally recognised exams at the Language Centre, with test dates three times a year – November/December, March and May/June. You will be prepared for these exams in class and will also have access to self-study materials in the library and online.

Cambridge Skills for Life ESOL – (November/March/May)

The Skills for Life tests are mainly designed for learners who are living or trying to settle in the UK. They are available at five levels, from Entry 1 (Elementary) to Level 2 (Advanced). Candidates will encounter topics in the tests which are both familiar and relevant to them as learners of English.

Cambridge Main Suite Exams

Cambridge Key English Test (KET) - (Termly)

This is a pre-intermediate level (Entry 2) examination. 

Cambridge Preliminary English Test (PET) - (Termly)

This is an intermediate level (Entry 3) examination. 

Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) - (Termly)

FCE is designed for people who can use everyday written and spoken English at an upper-intermediate level (level 1). It is ideal for people who want to use English for work or study purposes. 

Cambridge Advanced English Examination (CAE) - (Termly)

This is an advanced level (Level 2) examination.  It is recognised by most UK Universities and Colleges for entry onto courses.

European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) - (Termly)

 

Exam fees

Payment for Skills for Life exams, one Main Suite exam and ECDL are included in the course fees. If you would like to retake a Main Suite exam or take the next level, you will need to pay for it. Exam fees can be found on the Cambridge ESOL website.
