We have over 6,000 students at South Leicestershire College (SLC) on a wide range of courses. Whether you're looking to improve your English or study a vocational course at NQF Level 3 or above, we can make it happen!
South Leicestershire College is in a central location at the heart of the UK. This is a great place to live, work and study. We are a friendly and supportive college and will do our best to make sure your whole stay is as enjoyable as possible.

As an international student you will have the opportunity to study on a variety of courses. We are accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English, which means you can learn in a centre where the teaching, support, resources, accommodation and publicity are inspected regularly by a team of independent inspectors.
The British Council inspected and accredited South Leicestershire College in April 2011. The Accreditation Scheme assesses the standards of management, resources and premises, teaching and welfare and accredits organisations which meet the overall standards in each area inspected (see www.britishcouncil.org/accreditation for details).
The English language teaching department of this college of further education offers courses in general English for adults (to include 16-17 year olds).
Points of excellence were noted in aspects of general management, premises, self-access facilities, aspects of academic management, teachers' qualifications and teaching.

South Leicestershire College opened in 1970 and has successfully been teaching for over 40 years. We are a Public Sector organisation and have achieved Highly Trusted Status with the UK Borders Agency.
During your time here you will also have access to some fantastic facilities and services, ranging from a well stocked library with free internet access, a well equiped gym which will cost you just £1 per session, three Language Laboratories with excellent computing resources and a quiet study area, with computers and audio equipment, for self-study and exam preparation.
