This course is designed as an introduction to teaching for all new teachers, trainers, and tutors in the Lifelong Learning sector (learners over 14 years of age).
You do not need to be working in a teaching role to complete this course.
NOTE - this course is not appropriate for those wanting to teach in primary or secondary schools. More guidance for teaching in the compulsory education sector is available on www.education.gov.uk/get-into-teaching

Investigating professional responsibilities
Inclusive learning and teaching
Planning for inclusive learning
Principles of assessment
Micro teaching to peers
|Entry Requirements||Candidates will be invited to attend an initial assessment and interview session prior to enrolment.|
You will need to be appropriately qualified to at least level 3 in a teaching specialism or have vocational competence at level 3 (vocational reference required) and hold at least a level 1 qualification, or equivalent, in English and Maths.
|Equipment||General stationery, files.|
|Attendance||One evening a week from 18.00 - 21.00 at the Nuneaton Campus|
The course will run for 10 weeks. Course fees £380
|Assessment||A combination of assignments and an observed micro-teach.|
|Progression||On successful completion of this course you may progress to the Certificate or Diploma in Education and Training accredited by the University of Warwick.|
