|Introduction||The programme follows two pathways of learning, covering both vocational and independent living. Subjects are selected from a wide range, taking into account the student's personal needs and wishes. They will study subjects such as healthy living, care, art & craft and independent living skills in our Life Skills area. |
We run a series of taster sessions during the year for you to come and have a go at a number of different vocational areas
It is expected that you would undertake some work experience as part of the course, this is usually in the form of voluntary projects coordinated by the tutors.
|Study Outline||You will do lots of practical work and will cover lots of different skills including:|
English & maths
|Entry Requirements||There are no entry requirements for this course-although we will be looking for enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills and gain new experiences.|
|Assessment||Students can work at their own pace without the fear of examinations. |
Small class sizes and strong links with the college support team ensure that full support is given throughout.
Social skills, self-development and also English, Maths and ICT are also key features.
Learners will work towards accredited qualifications at Entry level 1
|Progression||Once you have completed this course, you can progress on to other courses within the college or gain assistance with work experience and employment.|
