|Introduction||If you have an eye for detail and love practical, hands-on work then this Apprenticeship should appeal to you. Focused on the now well established kitchen fitting and fitted furniture industry this course is aimed at the specialist. The construction sector as a whole is currently facing a skills shortage, with skills to suit both refurbishment and new build there will be plenty of jobs available for those skilled in their trade!|
|Study Outline||This Apprenticeship focuses on fitted interiors: working on a construction site or domestic area fitting kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom furniture to specification from flat packs or|
bespoke built units. On this programme you will study: Health & Safety regulations and requirements; Communication and structures within the construction industry; Building knowledge and construction technology.
|Entry Requirements||Entry requirements are ideally GCSE Grade D or above and through initial diagnostic assessment. Learners will also have to attend an interview with a member of the construction team.|
|Equipment||You will have to provide your own stationery equipment including writing paper, pens, HB and 2H pencils, lever arch file, equipment consumables, Personal Protective equipment to include high-Vis vest and safety boots/shoes.|
|Attendance||Attendance is usually one day per week at college and four days per week in the work place. This will be confirmed with your employer|
|Assessment||Assessment is via completion of coursework and portfolio and awarding body set examinations.|
|Progression||You can progress on to further trainer or into full-time employment as a - Kitchen fitter, Bathroom fitter, Bedroom fitter, Fitted furniture installer|
|Qualification||Level 2 Diploma and Level 2 NVQ in Fitted Interiors|
