IntroductionThis is a part-time course aimed at someone who is new to using computers or needing to learn more about Microsoft Office 2010 programs.
Study OutlineLearners have to complete three modules from the following options; word processing, spreadsheets, presentations or databases using Microsoft Office 2010.
Entry RequirementsNo previous experience of Microsoft Office is required but learners should have a basic knowledge of using a computer keyboard and mouse.
EquipmentMemory stick, notebook and pen.
AttendanceThis is a part-time course delivered on Thursday evenings 115-5pm over 17 weeks. Each lesson is of three hours duration and learners need to attend every lesson to obtain the most benefit from the course.
AssessmentYou will produce a portfolio of evidence from the various tasks completed for each of the three modules in class. On successful completion of the coursework learners will receive an Award Certificate to show your competence at this level.
ProgressionProgression onto the Certificate in IT User Skills (Level 2).
QualificationOCNWMR Award in IT User Skills level 1.
