IntroductionCreative and digital media is no longer a choice for businesses. It’s a necessary and key element of business and marketing strategy. This Apprenticeship will enable you to learn how to use creative and digital media to positively impact on a business’s performance. It also builds in transferable skills such as communication, team working, interpersonal skills and the ability to reflect on personal learning.
Study OutlineExamples of units you may cover include: Recording/editing journalistic material; Writing content for different platforms; Technical editing skills across different media; Technical skills in TV, interactive media and post production; Ideas development;
Research;Story finding and Storytelling. Units will depend on your work placement and employer.
Entry RequirementsIf you’re interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice. See the Apprenticeships section of our website to discover more and find out about our vacancies service.
EquipmentAccess to a computer
AttendanceThis Apprenticeship is delivered within the workplace by a visiting Assessor. You will need to attend a one day induction programme at the college. Some attendance may be required at Functional Skills Workshops.
AssessmentYou will be assessed using an online e-portfolio where evidence and assignments are collated against chosen units.
ProgressionPotential job roles include: Broadcast Assistant, We Coordinator, Digital Media Assistant, or Production Secretary.
