|Introduction||Ideal if you are looking to pursue a career in Childcare, this Apprenticeship will allow you to work towards your qualification whilst gaining real classroom experience.|
|Study Outline||-Contribute to the support of Child and Young Peoples Development |
-Contribute to Children and Young Peoples Health and Safety
-Contribute to the Support of Positive Environments for Children and Young People
-Understand Partnership Working in Services for Children and Young People
-Introduction to Communication in Health, Social Care or Childrens and Young People's Settings.
-Introduction to Personal Development in Health, Social Care or Childrens and Young Peoples Settings.
-Introduction to Equality and Inclusion in Health, Social Care or Childrens and Young Peoples Settings.
-Child and Young Person Development
-Safeguarding the Welfare of Children and Young People.
-Maintain and Support Relationships with Children and Young People
-Support Children and Young Peoples Positive Behaviour.
-Approximately two optional units would also be under
|Entry Requirements||English, Maths and ICT results at Entry Level 3.|
All learners are required to undertaken a DBS prior to starting there Apprenticeship.
If you're interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

|Equipment||The equipment required to complete the Apprenticeship would be outlined by the employer and assessor.|
|Attendance||An assessor would be allocated to undertake the varying framework components within the work place and would generally visit at least once a month.|
|Assessment||Workplace observation and portfolio evidence. |
|Progression||You could progress onto the Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning and Development (Early Years Educator).|
|Qualification||Upon successful completion of the course you will achieve the overall Apprenticeship Framework for Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's workforce.|
|Awarding Body||Pearson's Edexcel Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce|
Pearson's Btec Level 2 Understanding Employment responsibilities and rights in Children and Young People's Settings (ERR)
Level 1 OCR Functional skill in English
Level 1 OCR Functional skills in Maths
Level 1 OCR Functional skills in Information and Communications Technology
