The Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning and Development (Early Years Educator)(QCF) qualification consists of 9 mandatory units which are as follows:-
Understand Children's Early Years Education and Development.
Implementing Early Years Foundation Stage
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in Early Years Settings
Plan and Provide Effective Teaching and Leaning in Early Years Setting
Make Accurate and Productive Use of Assessment in Early Years
Develop Effective and Informed Professional Practice in Early Years Setting
Promote the Health, Safety and Well-being of Children in Early Years Setting
Entry RequirementsFormal entry requirements for the Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning and Development(Early Years Educator) are that English and Maths have already been achieved at a GCSE A-C grade, and that ICT Initial assessment expectations are at least at Level 1 to be taken on to this study programme.

EquipmentThe equipment required to complete the Apprenticeship would be outlined by the employer and assessor.
AttendanceAn assessor would be allocated to undertake the varying framework components within the work place and would generally visit at least once a month.
AssessmentYou will be allocated an assessor where you will be observed in the work place undertaking planned tasks. A portfolio of evidence for this part of the qualification would also be undertaken where assignments would be set under the direction of the assessor.
Understanding Employment responsibilities and rights in Children and Young People's Settings: this component would be delivered through a workbook.
All three aspects of the functional skills will be delivered within the workplace provision through a support platform of BKSB and varying resources to support your learning style, which will lead to exams to complete these overall components.



ProgressionLearners that have achieved the Level 3 Diploma in Children's learning and Development (Early Years Educator) could progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children's Services dependent on job role.

QualificationUpon successful completion of the course you will achieve the overall Apprenticeship Framework for Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning and Development (Early Years Educator).
