IntroductionIdeal if you are looking to pursue a career in Childcare, this Apprenticeship will allow you to work towards your qualification whilst gaining real classroom experience.
Study Outline-Contribute to the support of Child and Young People’s Development
-Contribute to Children and Young People’s Health and Safety
-Contribute to the Support of Positive Environments for Children and Young People
-Understand Partnership Working in Services for Children and Young People
-Introduction to Communication in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young People's Settings.
-Introduction to Personal Development in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young Peoples Settings.
-Introduction to Equality and Inclusion in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young Peoples Settings.
-Child and Young Person Development
-Safeguarding the Welfare of Children and Young People.
-Maintain and Support Relationships with Children and Young People
-Support Children and Young People’s Positive Behaviour.
-Approximately two optional units would also be under
Entry RequirementsEnglish, Maths and ICT results at Entry Level 3.
All learners are required to undertaken a DBS prior to starting there Apprenticeship.

If you’re interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

EquipmentThe equipment required to complete the Apprenticeship would be outlined by the employer and assessor.
AttendanceAn assessor would be allocated to undertake the varying framework components within the work place and would generally visit at least once a month.
AssessmentWorkplace observation and portfolio evidence.
ProgressionYou could progress onto the Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning and Development (Early Years Educator).
QualificationUpon successful completion of the course you will achieve the overall Apprenticeship Framework for Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's workforce.
