|Introduction||The Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship is for someone who can take responsibility for managing a team or discrete project. They can support, manage and develop team members, manage projects, plan and monitor workloads and resources. They can take responsibility for delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships. It is applicable to professional team leaders, first line managers and supervisors from all sectors - the private, public or third sector - and all sizes of organisation.|
|Study Outline||The Team Leader / Supervisor Standard typically takes up to 18 months to complete. You will be required to demonstrate competence against a criteria of knowledge, skills and behaviours. We recommend that Apprentices complete the ILM Level 3 Diploma for Managers as part of this Apprenticeship. If not already achieved you will be required to achieve level 2 English and maths.|
The Apprenticeship culminates with and End Point Assessment (EPA) which includes a knowledge test, interview, portfolio and professional discussion.
|Entry Requirements||All applicants must hold 4 GCSEs at grade D or above to include English & maths.|
As an Apprentice you must have secure employment in the role of a Team Leader / Supervisor.
|Equipment||Access to an e-portfolio will be provided|
|Attendance||The majority of this Apprenticeship is delivered by a visiting Assessor to your workplace.|
Attendance for English & maths may be required.
|Assessment||The Diploma for managers is assessed by gathering evidence for a portfolio, presentation and discussion and examined units.|
The end point assessment consists of a knowledge text, structured competency based interview, assessment of a portfolio of evidence and a professional discussion activity relating to a CPD activity
|Progression||Following completion and on securing a suitable role within your organisation you may progress to the level 5 Operations / Departmental Manager Apprenticeship|
