IntroductionThe business administrator is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. The business administrator is also expected to show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others
Study OutlineOn this 18 month Apprenticeship you will demonstrate how you meet the requirements of the Knowledge, skills and Behaviours required to be a Business Administrator. This includes key areas such as: Communications, Document Production, Planning & Organisation, Project Management and Managing Performance.
After a minimum of 12 months and in agreement with your employer you will pass through the Gateway to End Point Assessment (EPA) where you will undertake a Knowledge Test, Portfolio Based Interview and Project Presentation in order to achieve the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
Entry RequirementsAt least 5 GCSEs at Grade D or above which must include English and maths.
You must also be in contracted employment and work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
EquipmentYou will be supplied access to an electronic portfolio system.
AttendanceOne full day per week for an eight week block to cover the key requirements of the Standard. You will also receive monthly work-based visits from an Assessor to support you in evidencing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required of the Standard.
AssessmentThe EPA is an independent assessment and compiles of a knowledge test, portfolio based interview and project presentation
ProgressionYou may wish to progress to a Management qualification or focus on a particular area of the business
