IntroductionThis Apprenticeship will enable you to develop the skills needed to work as a professional Accountant who understands the needs of an organisation, its customers and the sector in which they operate.
Study OutlineAAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting (AQ2016), which includes units in the following areas:
-Advanced Bookkeeping
-Final Accounts Preparation
-Management Accounting
-Indirect tax
-Ethics for Accountants
-Spreadsheets for Accounting

You will also study Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English if not already achieved. The course includes training on Employment Rights and Responsibilities, as well as Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
Entry RequirementsYou will need to have an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Accounting or have undertaken a GCSE, A Level/GNVQ standard of education.

Membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians is also required.

You will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

EquipmentAAT textbooks and supporting materials will be supplied.

AttendanceOne year: day release college attendance combined with work-based assessment visits.
AssessmentComputer-based assessment centrally set and assessed by AAT, combined with work-based assessment visits.
ProgressionProgression through to the Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting.
