IntroductionThe GCSE English retake course is designed for anyone who has recently gained a grade 3 but were within a few marks of gaining a grade 4.
Study OutlineThe GCSE retake course is an intense 8 week course with an exam in November and will help students to identify the areas that prevented them from gaining the grade 4.
Entry RequirementsA grade 3 GCSE English within 5 marks of gaining a grade 4 and it must be with the AQA examining board.
EquipmentA pen, paper, folder for your work. It would also be very useful if you could bring any assessments that you completed last year for the tutor to review with you.
AttendanceThree hours per week until the examinations and it is expected for you to have 100% attendance

Thursday: 18.00 to 21.00
AssessmentThroughout the 8 weeks you will be assessed using practice papers and work within class. You will be expected to complete homework tasks to help you achieve.
ProgressionNext steps are university, employment, or further study at AS level.
