|Introduction||This course is ideal if you need to improve your maths skills and/or need a qualification. |

|Study Outline||You will study three key areas:|
- Measure, shape and space
- Data handling
|Entry Requirements||You will need to take an initial assessment(IA) in English and maths, to ensure you are enrolled on the right level for you to succeed and identify any support you might need. This usually takes around 30 minutes. |
You will also need to complete a short interview with our team. We will ask you about any recent learning experience and qualifications you have already.

|Equipment||Pen, paper, ruler, calculator and folder|
|Attendance||You are expected to attend every lesson|
|Assessment||The exam is 1.5 hours.|
There will be opportunities to take practice assessments before a final exam. You will work with the tutor to decide when you take the final exam.
|Progression||Functional Skills Maths is available from entry level, level 1 and level 2. You can progress through the levels. |
You can progress to GCSE with a level 2, subject to an initial assessment meeting a level 2 standard.
