Apprentice Case Study - Charlotte Bee

Human Resources Apprentice
South Leicestershire College (SLC)
"After leaving college with GCSEs and an AS-level, I had several jobs to try to find out what I wanted to do as a career. I heard about the job at South Leicestershire College when I visited the Apprenticeship website looking for vacancies.
I liked the idea of an Apprenticeship because you get to earn money while you learn. Since starting my Apprenticeship, I’ve completed my NVQ level two in business admin, level three certificate in HR practice and reached associate member status with the CIPD.
Earlier this year, I was offered a full-time job here at the college, which meant a great deal to me.
I would definitely recommend an Apprenticeship to others because it is a great way to gain a qualification while working and earning money. Apprenticeships can also lead to permanent jobs, as in my case.”
