Wigston Campus

The main Wigston Campus is a compact site which comprises of three main blocks: Main Building, Hawthorne Building and Building and Construction Block.
Main Building: The main central block provides specialised teaching rooms, staff accommodation, conference rooms, a nursery and a central open learner space which includes dining and social areas ‘The Chill Zone’ together with Reception, Marketing and Learner Guidance Services. Adjacent to the main building is the Martin Jonson Centre for Leadership and Management, a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Supervisory Management Skills which the college officially opened in November 2004.
Hawthorne Building: The second block consists of the Learning Resources Centre, computer suites, a number of general classrooms and a modern and well-equipped language laboratory.
Building and Construction Block: The third block predominantly houses building and construction workshops and the Health and Wellbeing Centre.
The Wigston campus is easily accessed by road and train from the city centre and south Leicestershire.
By car
Access to the College is from Holmden Avenue only - there is no vehicular access from Station Road.
Car parking is free - Students may use car parks A and B during the day and evenings. There is an additional car park with access from Manor Street. There are also car parking spaces for disabled badge holders. Please contact Reception for assistance with parking issues. The College cannot accept responsibility for losses or damages to bikes or vehicles.
By Rail
South Wigston railway station is a 15 minute walk from the College with connections from Leicester and Hinckley.
By Bus
The College is served by Arriva buses:
- 47 and 48 from St Margaret’s Bus Station, Leicester City Centre
- 40 and 41 from Oadby
- 25 from Charles Street, Leicester City Centre
- 46 from Humberstone Gate
